Hi there! I hope everyone is having a good week full of warm weather and fall festivities and excitement over Ariana Grande’s just-announced upcoming album (!!!). Yes, if you missed the news, Ari is singlehandedly saving the rest of 2020 by releasing her next album by the end of this month. As in, within the next two weeks. Bless her.
Once the album’s out, you know I’ll be listening to it nonstop, but until then, I have plenty to keep myself entertained. Read on for this week’s edition of Did I Tell You About… featuring all the pop culture I’m into (and think you should be, too) right now:
I’m reading: Doxology by Nell Zink. This novel got rave reviews when it came out last summer, and I’m loving what I’ve read so far. It’s about three musicians in New York City before, during, and after 9/11—an ambitious concept, for sure, but one that’s handled really well. I’m excited to keep reading.
I’m hyped about: The trailer for The Crown Season 4, which will be out on Nov. 15. The Netflix series has always been great, especially last season when Olivia Colman joined as Queen Elizabeth, but these new episodes look fantastic. One word: Diana. Okay, two more words: THAT DRESS.
I’m watching: The season finale of The Vow, on HBO this Sunday. I talked about how much I’m enjoying this sex-cult docuseries a few weeks ago, but I’m mentioning it again because it is SO GOOD, you guys. This week’s episode was full of genuinely wild reveals and big moments (that footage of Keith!!), and I can’t wait to see what the finale has in store.
I’m thinking about: This smart Buzzfeed article on the body-shaming Billie Eilish experienced after a paparazzi photo of her went viral the other day—and the issue with calling an average-sized woman “brave” just for daring to not cover herself up. It’s a complicated topic, but writer Scaachi Koul does a great job getting into the nuance of it all.
I’m obsessed with: These photos of Timothee Chalamet in *his own* Juicy Couture sweatshirt for the new GQ cover. You’re welcome.

As always, let me know if you check out any of these recs (or just need to talk about those Timothee photos with someone. I understand). See you next week!
