Hello! If you’re in New York like me (at least for one more week…), you’ve probably been feeling pretty antsy stuck at home in the rain for the last few days—and unfortunately, it looks like it’s not letting up tomorrow. But the good news is, that means there’s plenty of time for you to catch up on all the pop culture goodness you might’ve missed this past week! And I have plenty of recs to send your way in the newest edition of Did I Tell You About… below:
I’m reading: Red, White, and Royal Blue by Casey McQuiston. Well, to be technical, I just finished reading it, but I loved it so much that I want to talk about it here! It’s a novel about what happens when the president’s son falls in love with the Prince of England, and honestly, it’s the best. So funny, so smart, and so romantic—if you loved The Royal We or Crazy Rich Asians or any kind of fun, high-stakes, romance, this one’s for you.

I’m watching: Fargo on FX (although I’m watching on Hulu). I was looking for a new drama that had a good mix of quirk and spookiness, and so far, Fargo really fits the bill. I’m only a few episodes in, but I’m totally hooked, especially because the first season’s cast is absurdly good (Bob Odenkirk? Kate Walsh? Jordan Peele?!). I can’t wait to keep going.
I’m thrilled about: Netflix’s The Baby-Sitters’ Club getting a second season! I adore this sweet, surprisingly smart series when the first season dropped this summer, and I can’t wait for more episodes. Don’t dismiss it as a kids’ show—it’s full of references and wit aimed at the adults who devoured the books back in the ‘90s.
I’m still thinking about: Borat Subsequent Moviefilm, aka the completely cringey yet actually very feminist and fun sequel to Borat. Yes, the Rudy Giuliani scene is as crazy as you’ve heard, but it’s far from the only moment in the mockumentary that’s worth watching. Prepare for serious discomfort, but it’s worth it.
I’m obsessed with: This Variety cover story about Grey’s Anatomy, which debuts its 17th (!) season in a few weeks. As a lifelong Grey’s fan, I love this story because it doesn’t only focus on Shonda Rhimes and Ellen Pompeo, but several of the other women who’ve helped make the show a phenomenon, like stars Chandra Wilson and Debbie Allen and showrunner Krista Vernoff. Grey’s forever.

I’m looking forward to: The release of Ariana Grande’s album Positions at midnight tonight. I liked the first single okay enough, but I’m hoping that the rest of the record is Thank You, Next-quality good. Ariana, please don’t let us down.
As always, let me know if you check out any of the above recommendations! Otherwise, talk to you next week, friends.
